In this economic climate, there has been an increasing interest in Do It Yourself weddings. A ton of new DIY Wedding sites are popping up all over the internet and couples are finding new and creative ways to plan their wedding without the use of professional services including professional photography.

People commendably find ways to save money every day. However, depending on the task, we need to seek professional help. I’ve heard and experienced many situations where people decided to take on a task that they should have at least consulted with a professional, and later paid a much higher price for not doing so.

I will admit, many professional services are expensive, but there is always a way to use their service or consultation and still save money.

Brenda and Joseph Mattice

We sure had a blast to be a part of Brenda and Joseph’s wedding day! It was a beautiful day in Orange County for a wedding. The rush of getting ready for the ceremony, to the goofy pictures we made together and the unexpected bather strolling along during Joseph’s song; it was a memorable day that both Brenda and Joseph and their guests will never forget.

Cedar Bar Mitvah After Party

The Cedar’s asked me to cover their son’s Bar Mitvah after party at Lucky Strike Lanes, The Block at Orange. The evening was full of entertainment. There was a very talented magician, musicians, and a very funny improv done by four Disney entertainers. Overall, it was a fun and unforgettable night for the Cedars.

Mindy at Through My Eyes Portrait Photography, had us take her good friend Lisa’s family outdoor portraits. It was a beautiful Saturday morning, even though it had been forecasted to be a chilly morning. Lisa’s grandson had just taken a little nap and was ready to shine. His big beautiful blue eyes were a treat to photograph as well as the rest of the family.

Tropical Photo Shoot

Well, almost a complete vacation. One of the reasons we took our vacation to Puerto Rico was to do some portrait work. We just can’t seem to get away from shooting!

We had a wonderful time with Fernando and Elinelia. They are expecting a baby and she’s about 5 months. We started shooting at their place and made our way up north to San Juan to do some shots at the historic San Juan fort.

Funny thing while we were there. While we were walking up to the fort, I separated from the couple for a while to scout some spots so that we could cut down on walking distance (since she is pregnant) and I got stopped by a security officer. I was able to talk my way out of any problems, but it seems that you need a permit to do any professional photography in Old San Juan. But we were ok to proceed and got some cute pictures.

Back from Puerto Rico!

We are back from our two week trip in beautiful Puerto Rico! We are actually sad our vacation is over but ready to get back to work. We had some cool adventures and a photo-shoot while we were there. Here are some pics we wanted to share with everyone.

Headshots for Irvine Medical Group

Irvine Family Practice Medical Group hired us to take their headshots at their location on Culver in Irvine. This was a perfect example of shooting in limited space and very short time. Not to mention it was pouring outside. When I arrived I had little information of the area I was going to be shooting in. I was directed to a “prep-room” which had a typical patient table smack in the middle of the room. I can safely say the room was a 12×12 room complete with cabinets. Not to much space to work with, but I had to work with what I had. Taking advantage of the doorway to shoot from, I decided to place the backdrop right next to the table and the lights facing into the room. Took me about 15 minutes to set up and was on my way to shooting.

Nevertheless, the Doctors were very easy to work with and we got some nice headshots. Take a look.

We did it. Bellah Vista Studio is up and running in Orange County! It’s been long overdue. We will be updating our site with great new specials to kick-off the new year, so bookmarks us, tweet us, “like” us and we will be updating you on these specials as they come up.

In the meantime, we are offering free portrait sessions to a limited amount of open slots. Welcome to our blog, we are so excited to finally have it up and running! This blog is our new platform to keep everyone up to speed with our latest projects and events. Make sure you check back often to take advantage of tips, special offers and promotions.

“What’s your IMAGE?” is our slogan and it’s how the creation process at Bellah Vista begins. We ask our clients both in business and portrait photography: “What’s the IMAGE you want to portray to the world?” in essence: “What’s your IMAGE?”. If you know exactly what you want but just don’t know how to put it into action, or you just simply have no idea, that’s where we come in.

We’ll help you along the way with a short and easy interview where we’ll extract your likes, personality and put it all on paper (actually digital; we try not to use too much paper – trying to do our part!). We will then put all of that information and create an image that you will just love to show off.
