I have spent large amounts of time designing and implementing marketing promotion materials for small businesses such as logos, websites, brochures, letterhead, business cards, banners, signs and more, helping businesses gain a foothold in their local market. Most of my experience is in the above mentioned projects, and a vast knowledge of the principles, standards, and trends associated with them.
With regard to Graphic Design and Digital Illustration, I honed my skills by learning an array of advanced level techniques and workflow’s associating myself with National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP) and Professional Photographers of America (PPA) and other professional peers.
Given my background in illustration and drawing when I was younger; color theory, composition, and layout were things that came to me almost instinctively. I went on to learn about typography at a local print shop where they were still using lead type; I also learned digital print production working in Brooklyn, New York in a pressroom.
My education is ongoing online with sites like Lynda.com, NAPP, PPA and Penn Foster majoring in Graphic Design. I also work as a digital photographer doing wedding and portrait photography on my own as well as working very closely with Brian Brumley of Generations Photography Studios, a background that has enhanced my skills in: advanced photo composition and manipulation, retouching, color corrections, and commercial photography.
